Wow, wow, wow it feels.......so good to be back at work! Maternity leave is great, but to be honest, newborns are not famous for allowing you to rest that much! Whoever coined the phrase "sleeping like a baby" by the way? Probably never had one.
But anyway Aryeh is finally sleeping a little better which means a happier, more productive Mommy during the day. Which is better for everyone, all around...
So I reopened on June 1st and we really had some of the loveliest families in the studio this month. And we had some outdoor sessions, too - which is really what summer photography is all about.
As you'll see from the photos, you definintely do NOT have to be up in the mountains to have beautiful outdoor pictures. I am booking outdoor sessions in the mornings during the week and on some Sundays. I will be upstate for a very limited time this summer.

This family was the lucky winners of my prize at the Bonei Olam Chinese Auction. Mom promised I would love photographing Sruli and his little sister (see below) and she was right. That hair!! Those eyes!

I have some new backdrops in the studio that I love. Remember I mentioned a while back that I wanted to get more creative with color. Well, here's a good example. Ditched the matchy-matchy and got a great color combination. Shifra is a first baby to two excited parents and I just adored photographing her.
Cousin Benny came along that same afternoon. Isn't he adorable?

Daniel's little brother was born only a few days after my little Aryeh! As his mother and I compared notes on feeding and sleeping, we managed to snap a few shots of this precious little face...
Maybe he can teach my Aryeh how to yawn (be tired = go to sleep...)
This was a special shoot for me. This little boy is the son of my Ita's kindergarten Morah - Morah Chana Leah. She gave Ita such a beautiful year of kindergarten and it felt wonderful to be able to give something back. This is also another new backdrop - works very well with the "living room Judaica look" - a good choice for upsherins...
